Kristen Carter is an Adult Geriatric Nurse Practitioner.  She earned her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Bon Secours Memorial College of Nursing and spent seven years as a Registered Nurse working at St. Mary’s Hospital in critical care.  She obtained her Masters of Science in Nursing from Maryville University and is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).  Kristen is passionate about treating root cause and strongly believes in individualized care as she recognizes that “your health is your wealth”.  She specializes in treating peripheral neuropathy, pain management, and hormonal imbalances.  She is affiliated with the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, the Virginia Council of Nurse Practitioners, and the Richmond Advanced Practice Society.

Outside of work, Kristen enjoys spending time with her husband, son, and their two dogs.  She also loves the outdoors, spending time at the beach, and visiting local wineries.
