Getting You Back To Your Life

Regenerative Medicine

What is Regenerative Medicine?

National Neuropathy Center (NNC) uses a field of Medicine called Regenerative Medicine.  This means we endeavor to regenerate damaged tissue.  The NNC approach is in contrast to most medical clinics.  Most clinics use a standard of care which merely cover symptoms with Cortisone, Prednisone, Gabapentin, Lyrica or other medications designed to only cover symptoms.

How Does NNC practice Regenerative Medicine?

By using techniques that restore function to tissue.   Over 30 Million Americans suffer from Neuropathy.  We are honored to offer a treatment which can regenerate sensory nerves.   Learn more about our Cell Signaling solution below.
Another example is scar tissue that develops in muscles known as Trigger Points.  Trigger Points are naturally formed by your body in response to repeated stress on the tissues.  Most clinics cover the symptoms of trigger points by injecting them with Lidocaine and / or Cortisone.  IRMC uses a combination of:

1) Injecting the trigger point with a natural substance called Sarapin®.  Sarapin® can help in actually breaking down the proteins holding the scar together.
2) Physical Rehabilitation.  Once we have begun to break down scar tissue we exercise the tissue back into normal movement pattern and restore function of the tissue while removing the pain.

Treatments for Knees and Other Joints

NNC uses two products to restore knee and other joint function.

1) Hyalgan.  This is a Hyaluronic Acid product which the primary ingredient of the normal fluid of a heathy knee.  This is a proven product for stage 1-2 Osteoarthritis of the knee.

2) Hymovis.  This is a gel type substance we inject into damaged knees with late stage Osteoarthritis of the knees.  Often we use this product for knees when the patient has been diagnosed with bone on bone and cannot or does not want knee surgery.

The future in pain relief and resolution is at National Neuropathy Center now!!

“National Neuropathy Center (formerly Integrative Regional Mendical Center) has implemented a new medical device not yet known to the medical world.  It is called NeoGEN® and uses Cell Signaling technology.  This device is revolutionary in treating and solving pain without the use of opioids.  It is used with Intractable pain (untreatable) such as Fibromyalgia, Neuropathy from Chemotherapy and Diabetes, Osteoarthritis, Herniated Discs, Chronic Head Pain and Phantom Limb Pain…to name a few.

This little unobtrusive medical device is creating a lot of buzz.   With good reason.  This device offers the ability to dramatically reduce, or completely resolve that chronic pain that you have lived with for too long and made you feel like this was “just your life” now.

What types of pain is Cell Signaling used on?

  • Acute and Chronic Pain Conditions
  • Symptomatic Relief of Intractable (long term) Pain
  • Supporting Treatment for Post-Traumatic Pain Syndromes
  • Supporting Treatment in Post-Surgical Pain Conditions
  • Relaxation of Muscle Spasms
  • Slow or Prevent Muscle / Nerve Atrophy Due To Inactivity
  • Cell Signaling Treatments may be combined with other Adjunct Treatments such as Trigger Point Injections for the most Comprehensive Approach
  • This is an incomplete list because the point here is that if you have pain that you live with on a regular basis, then you need to contact us for a complimentary evaluation of your diagnosis and present conditions.

“It felt so good and I instantly felt better.  The treatment felt like I was getting a massage.”

How Does It Work?

Patients Love The neoGENAutomatically adjusting types of programmed electrical & electromagnetic currents in conjunction with a micro injection cocktail of vitamins and minerals necessary to rebuild nerves and blood vessels are applied in appropriate areas. The cell signaling currents are pre-programmed based on your diagnosis. How the currents vary depends on the diagnosis of your pain. The varying currents along with the injected vitamin / mineral cocktail work to reduce inflammation and repair damaged nerves and blood vessels.

What this means for you is this is leading edge pain treatment and management based on Quantum Physics principles and how they can be applied practically to help people. If you have pain we may just have the remedy.

What You Should Expect from Cell Signaling pain treatments

  • All New Patients would undergo a Complete Evaluation in our clinic prior to developing a plan involving the neoGEN® Cell Signaling device.
  • A typical Cell Signaling session lasts about 30 minutes
  • You may reasonably expect a plan consisting of 2 to 3 treatments a week for 8 to 12 weeks
  • Many patients have reported noticeable improvement with their pain after just a few sessions
  • Massive 67% reduction in opioid use due to the pain being relieved.
  • There are no side or after effects so you are free to drive home as soon as you are finished.

Two systems in your body cause and are related to Neuropathy. The cardiovascular and peripheral nervous systems. The TM Flow tests all of the functions of these two systems. This exam is used to monitor the improvement of our patients. We don’t have to guess if treatment is working. The TM Flow measures it.

Iovera® is an approved procedure for the treatment of acute and chronic pain that uses ‘Cryoneurolysis‘ to target sensory nerves and temporarily interrupt pain signals leading to an immediate relief of discomfort. Cryoneurolysis is the directed application under ultrasound guidance of a thermal neurolytic agent: In effect, we use ultrasound to find the pain-transmitting nerve and guide the device to deliver a precise temperature using nitrous oxide around those components of the nerve and interrupt that signal. Iovera® is approved in the treatment of all peripheral nerves. It is most commonly used, very successfully, in the treatment of knee pain. The treatment of knee pain can be used before your surgery to provide improved post-operative pain control, in the treatment of chronic knee pain due to injuries or arthritis, or even in patients having knee pain who have already undergone total knee replacements. Dr. Rhoades is certified in the use of Iovera® and was one of the first physicians to utilize this device in the Richmond Metro area in the treatment of pain.

Hyalgan and Hymovis are non-surgical, non-pharmacologic therapy for knee osteoarthritis. Hyalgan  / Hymovis therapy can help relieve your pain, improve your mobility, and get you back to your normal activities.  Hyalgan and Hymovis uses hyaluronan, a natural substance found in the fluids of healthy joints that separates the cartilage.  In the knee joint, hyaluronan acts like a lubricant and a cushion in the knee. This treatment is also known as Viscosupplementation Therapy.

You Are Leaving Pain BehindThe goal of Hyalgan / Hymovis is to supplement poor-quality hyaluronan in your painful knee with additional highly purified hyaluronan.  Hyalgan / Hymovis therapies are an injectable solution made from highly purified sodium hyaluronate (also known as hyaluronic acid [HA]).

Hyalgan will be recommended when the Osteoarthritic condition is between stage 1-2.  For later stage Osteoarthritis the Hymovis gel is a more effective approach.

We also believe that combining the Hyalgan / Hymovis injections (which are typically a weekly injection from 3 to 5 weeks) with some specific exercises which accelerate the pain relief and result in a more complete overall treatment.   Quadricep Extensions and Wall Slides are two of the more effective exercises which improve the outcome of the overall treatment.  This approach to the hyaluronan treatment is supported by scientific study if you wish to read more about it here.

You may be asked to avoid strenuous activities for a couple of days following the injection. Most patients experience little or no discomfort during the injection. If you’re concerned about the injection, talk to your practitioner about ways to reduce any mild pain that may occur.

What Is A Trigger Point?
A trigger point is a ball of scar tissue within a muscle. Muscles can become tight for a long period of time. For example, a lot of people sit at a desk typing all day. This posture allows the shoulders to roll forward and head to lean forward. This creates a condition called Upper Cross Syndrome.
Upper Cross Syndrome results in pain in the trap muscles across the shoulders and back of the neck. The muscles stay tight all day and night and become fatigued. The body will build a scar into the fatigued muscles to help support them. Over time these scars grow and become painful. These painful scars are called Trigger Points.

Standard Medical Treatment for Trigger Points
Most medical clinics use Lidocaine injections to block trigger point pain.  That’s it. Nothing more.  You go into the clinic on an occasional basis and get a lidocaine injection. This blocks the pain of the trigger point for a short period of time.
Trigger Point Injections to deal with pain and restricted movement

I.R.M.C. approach to Trigger Point treatment
Inject with a natural solution called Sarapin.  Sarapin is a natural analgesic rather than the pharmaceutical lidocaine agent.  Following the Sarapin injection (which is painless), an electrical stimulation pad is placed over the trigger point to help spread the Sarapin through the scar tissue.  The next steps in treatment is active or passive stretching of the trigger point and exercises to aid in restoring the scarred area to normal.  The overall result in the I.R.M.C. approach is remove the scar tissue and restore the muscle to normal function. This approach is several steps beyond that standard of trigger point care in most medical clinics..

PRP – Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy uses injections of a concentration of a patient’s own platelets to accelerate the healing of injured tendons, ligaments, muscles and joints. In this way, PRP injections use each individual patient’s own healing system to improve musculoskeletal problems.

PRP injections are prepared by taking anywhere from one to a few tubes of your own blood and running it through a centrifuge to concentrate the platelets. These activated platelets are then injected directly into your injured or diseased body tissue. This releases growth factors that stimulate and increase the number of reparative cells your body produces.

Infrared Gait Scan

Many people have problems created by improper movement of their feet. Low Back pain, foot and ankle pain or knee and hip pain often come directly from improper foot movement.
At Integrative Regional Medical Center we specialize in diagnosing foot movement patterns by using infrared technology as well as time lapse video of a person’s running and walking form.
Our trained doctors understand sports and movement and are well trained in the diagnosing and treatment of foot related sport issues. We do not simply insert a one size fits all drug store product in the hope it will work.

The Top Causes of Ankle & Foot Pain

At I.R.M.C. we’ve treated foot and ankle issues on a daily basis for more than 16 years.  The number one cause we see is poor movement of the foot as it relates to running.
Many people have very poor running form and it causes overuse injuries to the bottom of the foot the ankle and the lower leg. Eventually the pain reaches the knees and lumbar spine.
Proper foot movement needs to be reviewed by a knowledgeable professional with experience in not only proper running form but also with access to doctors with clinical experience in correcting the issue.
Flat feet, plantar fasciitis, shin splints, chronic ankle sprains, knocked knees and low back pain are all issues resulting from improper running form.
In our office we use a camera app to review running form and other technologies to measure movement of the spine to properly diagnose and treat foot and ankle pain.  We also have the very best Sport Performance Coaches to aid in correcting any problem.

Peptide Therapy

Peptide Therapy is an exciting, cutting-edge medical science that uses specific amino acid sequences called “peptides” that, when properly administered, communicate with different parts of the body, potentially enhancing the function of the entire body by binding to receptors on the cell surface and signaling optimal messages for health improvement.

To date, over 7,000 naturally-occurring peptides have been identified. We are now seeing that Peptide Therapy is gaining more notoriety with physicians because these peptides are highly specific in their action and very effective. Because peptides are mostly naturally occurring in the body, they are typically extremely well-tolerated and very safe.

Peptides Can Help With A Wide Range Of Health Conditions:

  • Enhancing Growth Hormone Production
  • Balancing Hormones
  • Inflammatory Diseases (Neuropathy is one)
  • Alzheimer’s Disease
  • Insomnia and Stress Disorders
  • Treating Obesity
  • Osteoporosis
  • Improving Sexual Disorders and Erectile Dysfunction
  • Autoimmune disorders
  • Tissue Repair, including joints, tendons and ligaments, and bone

Neo40 Professional is #1

With over 60 million tablets sold since 2015

You ask a lot of your body:  Replenish your Nitric Oxide every day!

National Neuropathy Center offers Neo40 Nitric Oxide replenishment therapy.  Nitric Oxide tablets impacts the body in a number of beneficial ways:

  • Heart Health –  Nitric Oxide has been called a miracle molecule.  It is able to carry messages at the cellular level because of its gaseous state and in doing so, relaxes blood vessels in our bodies, promoting arterial dilation (widening) and increased blood flow.
  • Circulation – As the body’s blood vessels dilate and relax it makes sense that this promotes increased blood flow improving overall body circulation.
  • Healthy Blood Pressure Levels – When arteries are dilated and circulation is increased, it can help regulate blood pressure in our bodies.
  • Sexual Performance –  For men the most common cause of erectile dysfunction is poor circulation, creating a lack of flowing blood to erectile tissue.  Nitric Oxide expands the blood vessels, increasing blood flow.  A continuous flow of nitric oxide in blood vessels can alleviate this problem.
  • Energy – With increased circulation and oxygenation of the blood comes the added benefits of improved natural energy and stamina.  Many professional athletes look to Nitric Oxide for improved performance.  When our bodies carry more oxygen to our muslces, our body becomes more efficient, delivering key nutrients and carrying away toxins.  If our body is more efficient and circulation is improved, endurance improves along with it.
